Olena Mihailivna Kotsar has been developing  irrigation water treatment systems (in UkrDNIPROVODGOSP), systems for ecological prediction of day water quality, facilities for water treatment for closed reproduction systems of a precious fish species (In NASU's Institute of Hydrobiology ). By the year 1990 she started to deal with creating group of enterprises "Potential-4". Now this scientifically-commercial structure is one of leading enterprises in development and deployment of high-efficient and low power-consuming technologies of renewing water quality of different recycled waters.

Olena Mihailivna is an author of more than 60 scientific works, methodological inventions and technical conditions in branch of norm-setting for irrigation water quality in closed systems and so on. Besides, she's an author of 18 inventions. She has an award "Laurels of Fame" and the rank "Top Manager of Ukraine". And POU that she's a head of is ranked as a "Best enterprise of Ukraine if environmental protection".
